Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must implement an effective system to ensure service users are safeguarded from the risk of abuse and improper treatment. On the last Friday of each month thereafter by 4pm until further notice, the registered provider stall report to the Care Quality Commission the following:
a. A report showing updated safeguarding training compliance broken down by individual levels for staff working in the emergency departments. This applies to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Good Hope Hospital.
b. A trajectory for all staff working in the emergency department to receive training in safeguarding children and adults at the required levels. This applies to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Good Hope Hospital.
c. A report on missed safeguarding opportunities in the emergency departments during that month, including actions taken to ensure patients (adults and children) are safe from the risk of harm and abuse. This applies to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Good Hope Hospital.
d. Copies of all assurance and audit results given to the Board of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust that an effective safeguarding system is in place and supporting plans of action. This applies to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Good Hope Hospital.
