Guest speaker Talya Lewis will discuss how she recovered from borderline personality disorder. Her inspirational story will give hope to the men and women with this difficult much-stigmatized condition. Symptoms may include self-harm (such as cutting), fear of abandonment, anger at oneself or others, unstable relationships, numerous suicide attempts, feeling empty inside and not wanting to be alone.

BIO:  Talya Lewis presents workshops for mental health professionals in which she teaches techniques for understanding and responding to self-injury. A two-time guest on National Public Radio, she runs a support group for women with borderline personality. View her website here. She is married and has three children.
